The Coronavirus and the Medicine Crisis

The global crisis caused by the coronavirus has allowed the emergence of various narratives on social networks. We witness an arsenal of lies, alerts, and false information involving false microbiologists, millionaires, and world celebrities.

The intervention of the media tends to transform the scientific debate into a public debate and to blur the small dividing line between the political and the technical, which increases the risk of error.

The task of the health sciences and the social sciences is to carry out a critical reading of all that has been published, to resume the scientific method and humbly acknowledge our ignorance, and to start investigations that remove political bias and manipulated figures, join the academy and redo the work unlearning and reformulating as many times as necessary.
