Abstract

An ectopic pregnancy is one that occurs outside the uterine cavity. It has a prevalence of around 1-2%, which has been increasing due to the more frequent use of assisted reproductive techniques. Also, a mortality rate of 2.7%. The main risk factor is having a history of previous ectopic pregnancy.
