Traumatic injuries in emergency: pathophysiology and controversies in its management
Abstract
A review of the evolution of traumatic injuries is made to understand the management of these in emergency. Each wound requires a complete evaluation to determine initial management. The use of saline under pressure, instead of toxic tissue agents for irrigation, is of utmost importance.
